England’s ECB (England and Wales Cricket Board) cricket players are convinced that their five-star central London hotel is haunted. Reports from England this week reveal several players have requested to switch rooms and their wives have refused to stay at the world-renowned Langham Hotel after players and their families experienced strange noises, lights and water faucets turning on by themselves, and ghostly spirits wandering the hallways of the legendary haunted hotel.
Bickering politicians are nothing new and the antics of today’s politicians are tame compared to the escapades of yesteryear. On July 11, 1804, the United States Vice President, reacting to insults from the former Secretary of the Treasury, challenged his foe to a duel during which he shot and killed his opponent. Burr was charged with murder in both New York and New Jersey. The charges were eventually dropped although the incident ruined Aaron Burr’s political career.
It quickly became a viral sensation as the world watched a grieving boyfriend pushed to the edge of mental breakdown after being tortured by eerie Facebook messages from his dead girlfriend. Whether a hoax, made-up story, purposeful manipulation, or real spirit unable to find a means to move on – it’s so creepy, you’ll probably lose sleep over it.
A no more unusual circumstance than swallowing molten metal can be imagined but in fact, there are many recorded cases of people swallowing molten metals. After a particularly unusual incident in Plymouth, a series of experiments were conducted on dogs, cats, and fowl to determine the effects of swallowing molten material. The case that sparked the interest within the medical community was the death of Henry Hall who accidentally swallowed molten lead while fighting a lighthouse fire in 1755.

Yonkers, New York residents and city officials were horrified to find the bodies of at least two dozen dead cats hung from a tree near Overlook Terrace. The cats, some of which were badly decomposed and hanging from tree limbs in black bags, were found by public works employees cleaning up trash in an abandoned lot in Yonkers, New York. The skull of each cat had been crushed before the body was placed in a plastic bag and tied to branches of the tree like ornaments. Investigators are searching for the cat slayer who they fear may be taking part in some sort of sick ritual.
DNA evidence linked her to over 40 crimes including a string of six murders over sixteen years, dozens of high-profile thefts, and a deadly arson case. After DNA evidence linked her to the murder of a policewoman, a $400,000 bounty was placed on her head but the female serial killer dubbed the “Phantom of Heilbronn”, described by police as “the country’s most dangerous woman”, cleverly evaded an extensive police manhunt for over 15 years. When her DNA evidence was found on documents belonging to a person who had died in a fire, police took a step back, reevaluated the cases, and determined that their mysterious criminal was the last person they would have ever suspected – and she was “hiding” in plain sight.
Lucille Ball, the zany comedic redhead that starred in popular television shows such as I Love Lucy, The Lucy Show, and Here’s Lucy, was one of the most influential comedic stars in U.S. history. As portrayed in her popular television series, life with Lucille Ball was never mundane, as evidenced by a true-life encounter she recounted during a live 1974 appearance on the Dick Cavett show, during which Lucy told how Japanese spy Morse code transmissions had been picked up by her dental work.
Lewis-Clark Valley Serial Killer – 35 years later, frustrated police know who killer is but lack evidence to make arrest
During those three years in the late 70′s, five youth disappeared from the Lewis-Clark Valley area. When body parts were found wrapped in black garbage bags, floating in the nearby Snake River, police knew they had a serial killer running rampant in their community. They were even certain they knew who the killer was. Regardless, lack of evidence and one critical missing person rendered them unable to make an arrest of the person they were “99% sure” committed the evil acts.
Many do not know is that The Philip Experiment, the basis for the move The Quiet Ones, was an actual historic research project conducted by a Toronto organization in 1972 in an effort to prove that paranormal entities such as demons, spirits, ghost, and poltergeists were manifestations produced by human will. A prominent group of citizens participated in the study, the results of which not only shocked the group but stunned the world. The how and why of The Philip Experiment has never been answered and left many wondering – did the group accidentally summon a demonic or spiritual entity or did they actually create a ghost?
The Wahuan Yangtze bridge, located in the Hubei province in central China, has been dubbed a “lovers’ leap” after the number of people who commit suicide there each year. In 2013, a photographer standing on a viewing platform was snapping pictures of the bridge, which was shrouded in an eerie fog, when he inadvertently captured these memorable photos of a couple’s suicide leap. As he said after the incident, he never even realized the tragedy he had captured on film.
Books bound with human skin in the Harvard Library collection? According to Harvard’s Directory of University Libraries, “without extensive genetic testing, Harvard librarians still do not have the foggiest notion of how many volumes wrapped in human hide exist throughout the system.” But they have identified three books that yes, are bound with real human skin – and they’re not the only library that houses such gruesome works.
Air Shuttle 5959 and Mesaba 3179 – two airlines simultaneously report disc-shaped UFO over Michigan (February 28, 1996)
On February 28, 1996 at 12:50 AM, during a time when an abundance of UFOs were being reported over America’s Midwest region, two commercial aircraft, Air Shuttle 5959 and Mesaba Airlines flight 3179, simultaneously reported seeing an unidentifiable flying object hovering in the night sky over Detroit, Michigan. The conversation between the two airline pilots and the Cleveland control tower was recorded and revealed that pilot and crew from each aircraft both described seeing a large, brightly-lit, pulsating, disc-shaped UFO hovering in the sky.
One of the most widely witnessed and well-documented UFO sightings in U.S. history occurred on January 8, 2008 in the rural farming community of Stephenville, Texas. Known widely as the Stephenville Lights, the sighting of the brightly-lit mile-wide object was witnessed by dozens of local citizens including a pilot, county constable, and several business owners. One witness told reporters it was a life-changing experience. Steve Allen, a freight company owner and pilot who said the object he saw was a mile long and half a mile wide told the press, “It was positively, absolutely nothing from these parts.”
Located in the densely populated area of Old Quarter in capital city of Hanoi in Vietnam, this train passes down a narrow residential neighborhood street – mere inches from the front doors of residents. Residents know the train schedule, which passes by twice each day, and bring in possessions and children before the train passes. Some smaller items (e.g. motorcycles) are left leaning tight against the homes providing mere inches of leeway between the motorcycle and passing train.
