The FBI just evacuated the National Solar Laboratory and other areas near Roswell, and nobody knows why.

imageOn September 6, 2018, the FBI swooped in with Blackhawk helicopters and other vehicles and evacuated (raided?) the National Solar Observatory near Roswell, New Mexico – and no one knows why. In addition, the nearby United States Post Office was evacuated, and the surrounding area was locked down too. A worker told ABC:

“We were told on September 6 that we would be evacuated along with the surrounding area, we were not told why. We were told just to be out of the area. We remain suspended until we are allowed to return.”

One week later and all facilities in the area remain closed.

Roswell and the United States’ highly secretive White Sand Test Facility and Holloman Air Force Base are barely 100 miles apart. Directly in between, in a location deep in a national forest called “Sunspot”, is an unusual laboratory known as the National Solar Observatory’s (NSO) Sacramento Peak facility. In operation since 1947 (yes, the year of the Roswell Crash), it is believed the lab specializes in the study of physics related to the Sun and its influence on Earth.

Otero County Sheriff, Benny House, confirmed the FBI raid to reporters:

image“The FBI is refusing to tell us what’s going on. We’ve got people up there (at Sunspot) that requested us to standby while they evacuate it. Nobody would really elaborate on any of the circumstances as to why. The FBI were up there. What their purpose was nobody will say.”

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy claimed the evacuation was due to a “security issue”.

Various theories abound. Some believe the facility may have inadvertently captured photographs of a UFO/UAP that the government does not want exposed while others think some sort of unusual solar activity is taking place or about to take place. A few have suggested the FBI has taken over the facility for its own use. With other telescopes in the area, including the Apache Point Observatory (APO) (which rumors say remains open), I put little faith in the “mysterious object in the sky” theory but for certain, something unusual is going on in the area and it’s being kept secret from everyone in the area, including local government officials and law enforcement officers.

However, Sheriff Benny House may have provided a clue:

“For the FBI to get involved that quick and be so secretive about it, there was a lot of stuff going on up there. There was a Blackhawk helicopter, a bunch of people around antennas and work crews on towers but nobody would tell us anything.”
